Initially, Jones & Co hired James, a former Project SEARCH student and SCE LifeWorks supported individual. James worked in the warehouse at Jones & Co and was tasked with receiving, labeling and rotating stock as well as assisting with shipping wine products to clients, including many Winnipeg restaurants. Jones & Co set up an inclusive workplace from the beginning, allowing his Employment Consultant to be present at both the interview and during training.

Over time, Banville & Jones expanded James’ role. During some shifts James also works in the retail store, stocking and facing regular and vintage wines.  

The success James had in being a team member at Jones & Co allowed them to bring on a second candidate in Matthew, who works the same position as James and remained in the position once James left.
